New Fundraising Campaign

Important Announcement from the Lakeland Police Foundation, Inc.! 

The Lakeland Police Foundation, Inc. is excited to announce its Police Explorer Vehicle Campaign — a fundraising initiative dedicated to supporting the Lakeland Police Department’s Police Explorer Program.

We are proud to share this vehicle campaign has received initial funding through generous grants from the George W. Jenkins Fund and the Vicky and James Luffman Fund within the GiveWell Community Foundation. Their combined funding of $7500.00 marks the first step in bringing this important project to life.

At the Lakeland Police Foundation, Inc., we believe in inspiring future leaders. Through our support of the Lakeland Police Department’s Police Explorer Program, we are helping guide young people who are interested in careers in law enforcement—youth who are learning firsthand the values of service, leadership, and community responsibility. Their service includes volunteering at community and department events, participating in regional competitions, and representing the City of Lakeland with pride. For many, the Explorer Program is the first step on a lifelong journey toward a career in public service.

As the Explorer program continues to grow, so does the need for safe and reliable transportation. That’s why  the Lakeland Police Foundation is launching the Police Explorer Vehicle Campaign—a community initiative to acquire a Ford Transit 15 Passenger Extended Van to transport these young leaders to many opportunities where they can learn, serve, and represent the City of Lakeland.

We are asking for your support to help our Police Explorer Program and reach our fundraising goal of $65,000.
